  Placed my first order with Maryland China Company to personally use in my business as well as sell in my gift shop. I was hoping to establish a line of coffee mugs that I could reorder merchandise in the future as I sold it.
  
  My order was placed in April and I was told that I would have it in 2 weeks. In mid May I followed up with the company to be told that the merchandise was "on a boat" and would be 30 additional days. So in June when I still did not have my order I called back again. When I first called I was told the order was there and in design. Then I spoke to design who said they did not have the order. This was a sign that this company has no idea how to track their merchandise since no one ever knew where my product was. I was then told it would be ANOTHER 30 days and would be here in July.
  
  So end of July (almost August) arrives. We had no order and once again had to call the company since they had never once bothered to follow up with me to let me know the status of my late order. At that point they said they still did not have the order- over 3 months later. I asked to get a discount on the order which they said no. Actually I was told that they don't make enough money on the orders to take a discount. Really- you are not willing to give even 10% off (a matter of a few dollars) to make a customer happy that has been waiting patiently for months?
  
  I called back AGAIN to discuss my order. What I was told was that Maryland China Company has hundreds of items online and they work with over 20 factories overseas. That each order required 3,600 unit minimums so they hold their orders until they meet the requirements but they have no idea what companies are going to place orders to be able to fill these orders. Which by the way- I was told this was a VERY popular item. I hate to think how long it would take to get a style that is not popular.
  
  So after I waited 3 months to get my order, had terrible customer service, was never offered anything to compensate for my lost sales since I did not have my merchandise in my gift shop, told that even if I received my order they could not promise they would be able to place a reorder, I then had to cancel my order all together. What a waste of my time. I am going to find another company that actually cares about my business.
